I’ve always had a thing for pants. There’s that Dr. Seuss book called “What Was I Scared Of?” - in which a pair of green pants with no body inside them making their way around the world and freaking out another Seuss character - this probably piqued my childhood interest. It’s a fun word to say. Try it! “Pants.” Growing up with 4 brothers I always wanted to keep up with them and maybe for that reason I’m a committed tomboy. In life I’m pretty scrappy, I move fast, I carry lots of stuff around. Pants are my go-to so I can move fast & easily. Plus, I’ve always loved that there are different categories of pants: bossy pants, smarty pants, fancy pants, etc.
When it comes to T&O, my tomboy value system plays into our choices for the shop. I want things to be functional, user-friendly as much as possible, comfortable and versatile. We’d love it if the pants exist in multiple categories (ie fancy pants & bossy pants)! As much as possible we want our pants to check multiple boxes. I think one of our strengths is that we sell great pants. Here’s a list of 7 awesome pants available at the shop right now (one for every day of the week).

Raffaello Rossi’s Renee Pants
iykyk, Raffaello Rossi are our German engineers of great fitting pants. They’re comfortable, they look amazing, every style we’ve ever sold is machine-washable. They wear all the hats. They are the makers of our Thanksgiving Pants* and their Renee style is a returning style. The silhouette is full length & straight. It’s a pull on with a flat waistband. It’s basically like two of our best-selling silhouettes from the brand (Palina and Macy) got together and had a baby. We’re so thrilled to have it back that we currently have 4 versions of it (navy in a crepe jersey, black bonded jersey, brown bonded jersey and burgundy flannel). This color is a hot color of the moment and it plays beautifully with other colors, so you can go basic or you can have some fun with color anarchy. Check out all of Raffaello Rossi’s pants here. Tela’s Andrew Pants
A great pant for a gal that’s not too tall. The Andrew pant has a mid-rise, a cute cuff and a slim leg. These generally go with my fall vibe of wearing loafers and oxfords galore. They’re made in a stretchy, twill that is made of a cotton-blend. Full disclosure, they’re button fly. I realize it’s a deal-breaker for some, but I think it’s a reasonable trade-off for a great fitting pant. Side note, we’ve been selling Arma for a few years now and for spring, our reps for the brand wanted to emphasize that pants are their specialty. We played heavy in their pants for spring with fantastic success and we have lots of chic pants from Tela for fall, also. You can check out our collection from Tela here. Arma’s Zaragoza suede pants
They’re washable, stretch suede pants. Let me repeat myself. They’re WASHABLE suede pants. We started carrying this brand at the beginning of 2025. Washable suede was music to my ears - I had to see if was the real deal. I ordered myself an extra pair, promptly spilled olive oil on them and washed them. Guess what? They are really actually washable. The care instructions read like a book but it’s not complicated, you just have to follow their rules. Oh, and let’s mention that this style is versatile, feels great and looks amazing. We currently have 2 styles of washable suede pants from Arma in stock here. Momoni’s George Pant
Momoni makes reliably, great fitting pants. I’m super into this rich, rust-colored corduroy from the Italian brand. Turns out this color plays beautifully with other colors. I referenced color anarchy above, and it’s just my made-up theory that when it comes to wearing color, there should be no rules. Trust your color intuition, don’t be afraid of taking some risks and it’ll probably work out. In general I believe if you feel good, you look good. If you walk out the door making an outfit mistake, remember that it’s just one day and you can forget it ever happened. I got slightly off-topic there, but the George pants are borderline fancy-pants as they dress up in a lovely way. High rise with a little stretch, they’re flattering & comfortable. Alysi’s Pantal Microcheck
I worked for a gentleman named Timothy Pope for several years. He wore a lot of grey flannel and so this fabric is burned into my brain as epically chic. I like Alysi’s take here, feminine and flattering. Lindsay calls these Honorary Thanksgiving Pants because they have an elasticized waistband and the fabric has a bit of stretch (as wool does). To me, the cut is inherently feminine with masculine vibes in the fabric, endlessly chic thanks to that association with my old boss Timothy. (Bossy pants & smarty pants.) -
Tela’s Stormo pants
This pant from Italian brand Tela is been getting attention since it first arrived. Made of a fluid, satiny fabric in a rich navy with a subtle chalk stripe. It is definitely ready for a fun night out. Pair it with its coordinating top for a jumpsuit-like look. People are loving the way this pant feels on the body. The have a flat, elasticized waistband and a side zip, so they have a great fit and there’s a cushion for comfort in this otherwise fancy pair of pants. (Fancy pants, bossy pants) -
Raffaello Rossi’s Mayla pants
I anointed these as my new favorite pants when I received my pair back in the spring. We had a very lightweight version for spring & summer and we’re now stocked in the Japanese polyester version of this. It has beautiful drape and is a bit more substantial. This pant generally asks you to lean into wearing the big pleated pant. Wear them with a heel, a flat, a sneaker. I sized up so I always use them as an opportunity to wear a cool belt. They’re wrinkle resistant and therefore great at travel, and they’re obviously machine washable because they’re from Raffaello Rossi. They look just as beautiful paired with a feminine silk blouse as they do with a t-shirt. (Bossy pants, hard-working pants, smarty pants)
It’s hard to choose favorites. I strongly believe that all the pants at T&O are great pants - they’re like my little babies. This is an ultra-edited list of styles above, and a broader (yet curated) list of favs is here. Curious? Stop by and have fun getting dressed!
