easy breezy summer
Now that summer's here we want effortless, easy style. Read thru for lots of looks and a few components that are key. More than anything, we want it to feel easy and effortless.
1. Summer Scarf Style
I'm the type of gal that gets a chill, I always have a scarf on hand. In a restaurant or if a cool breeze slides by, I need it. For summertime, it does a lot more. A large, oblong cotton scarf can not only cover my shoulders at dinner but also acts like a pareo. Lately we're favoriting a good square scarf that we can also wrap around our torso like a halter top.

2. Pareos - Sabina Savage Style
Above we showed you the simplicity of throwing a rectangular scarf on as a pareo. Sabina Savage brought back her beautiful pareos for this summer - made of a silk/cotton blend and providing an incredible canvas for her visual storytelling, these are sensational for summer style. This season's subject shines a light on the pressing issue of endangered species, and Sabina communicates this through the craft of stitch samplers (used for so many years as a means of educating young women, particularly during Victorian times). We like to pair these pareos back to an effortless white shirt (or even a tee), thrown over a bathing suit to take your pool/beach look to the next level - so you look polished and put together, no matter what sort of fun was had!

3. Summer Totes
A fresh summer bag makes a big statement and in case you can't tell, we're thoroughly obsessed with Lola Ehrlich's Mini Market Tote. Hand stitched raffia with a wide elastic band making the handle, it blends hand-made skill with clean modern lines to make an irresistible aesthetic. And in all the colors, they go with everything.
Meanwhile, Uashmama's Giulia bags are back in stock and always a favorite. Made in Tuscany by a small family-owned company, they're made of a durable, washable paper. They're lightweight and can schlep a ton of stuff, perfect for a ton of summer fun.

4. White Denim
It's the favorite accompaniment to all the fun summer tops, but I resisted it for years b/c my muscular thighs did not agree with white skinny jeans. My thighs are still muscular, but they're doing better with new styles that aren't so tight. Here are some of our favs.

Daily Blue's Mantra (a barrel cut denim) in their soft (but rigid) denim has some fans. Simplicity wins when I pair it with my Gola Rally's and my Il Bisonte Achillea bucket that does it all.
Frank & Eileen's Cork has become a favorite - and manages to fit everyone to a T. Mixed up with the Logan top and All Black's Wide Lugg Cross Mule.
Most customers refer to Le Jean's Bella Crop as "my most comfortable jean, and this is still true in white. Worn here with Baum's Jovana top.
Off White denim counts as white denim, and the Wayne jean from The Great is an easy silhouette. Worn here with their Victorian cami and K. Jacques Temuoco slide.
