The brand's size guide describes that a 36 fits like a US4, 38 like a US6, 40 like a US8, 42 like a US10.  These pants are designed to stretch, but we are comfortable sizing up in these pants.  These pants weren't named after Jenna but she makes them look like they were.  She's 5'8" on a good day and wearing the 38.
