The Contrasts Clutch by Mola Sasa is a beautiful handbag that is roomy enough for daily use, while being trim and chic enough for an evening affair.  It features the hand-sewn textiles by the artisan women of the Guna Dule community of Caimán Alto, Columbia. The rectangular bag has a magnetic flap closure and has a detachable leather looped strap that can be worn over the shoulder or cross-body.  It measures approximately 10" wide, 1.7" deep and 7" high.  The strap measures 37" long with a 17" drop. For generations, these women have passed down the ancient appliqué technique of hand-sewing cut-out layers of fabric to form an intricate piece of art.  Each composition may depict stories, animals or daily scenes, while others may be more abstract.
